SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Program Description

By opting in to receive SMS messages from Long Island Rehabs, you agree to receive text messages that may include:

  • Treatment facility information and recommendations
  • Insurance verification updates
  • Appointment reminders and confirmations
  • Educational content about addiction and recovery
  • Support resources and crisis information
  • Service updates and important notifications

2. Consent to Receive Messages

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you expressly consent to receive SMS/text messages from Long Island Rehabs regarding services, treatment inquiries, insurance verification, appointments, and related communications. You confirm that:

  • You are the account holder or have permission to use the mobile number
  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You understand consent is not a condition of purchase
  • You agree to receive SMS communications related to your inquiry, appointments, admissions process, insurance verification, and service-related updates

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our services and your preferences. You may receive up to 10 messages per week, though frequency may be higher during active treatment searches or insurance verification processes.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging charges from your wireless carrier will apply to all SMS correspondence.

Check with your mobile carrier for details on your text messaging plan. Long Island Rehabs is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.

5. How to Opt-Out

You can opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Reply STOP: Text "STOP" to any message you receive from us
  • Reply UNSUBSCRIBE: Text "UNSUBSCRIBE" to opt-out
  • Email: Contact help@longisland.rehab
  • Phone: Call 631-SOBERME to be removed

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You may continue to receive messages for a short period while your request is processed.

Our SMS program is supported by major U.S. carriers including:

AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and other carriers. Check with your carrier for compatibility.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us. SMS communications are subject to our Privacy Policy and HIPAA Compliance policies.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Important: SMS is not a completely secure communication channel. Do not send highly sensitive personal or health information via text message. For confidential matters, please call us directly.

9. Disclaimer

SMS messages are provided for convenience and information purposes. They do not constitute medical advice. Always consult with healthcare professionals for medical decisions. In case of emergency, call 911 immediately.

10. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure SMS service availability, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. SMS delivery may be affected by:

  • Force majeure events beyond our control

We reserve the right to modify these SMS Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or email. Your continued participation in the SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. TCPA Compliance

We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and do not send unsolicited SMS messages. All messages are sent only to those who have provided express written consent.

13. Governing Terms

These SMS Terms are subject to our general Terms of Service. In case of conflict, these SMS-specific terms shall prevail for SMS communications.
