Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Our commitment
Long Island Rehab Helpline is committed to making this site usable for the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we do
- Semantic HTML, single <main> landmark, and a "skip to content" link on every page.
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements, including the cookie consent manager.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA on text and interactive controls.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
- Descriptive alt text on informational images.
- Forms with labeled inputs and clear error messages.
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party maps and widgets may not yet meet our standards. We are working with vendors to address gaps and prioritize fixes based on impact.
