About LongIsland.rehab
LongIsland.rehab is an independent addiction-treatment information, navigation, and referral resource. We help people and families in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and across New York understand treatment options, insurance, and practical next steps.
LongIsland.rehab is an independent treatment navigation and information resource. We do not provide medical treatment or operate a treatment facility.
Who publishes this site
The site is published by LONGISLAND.REHABS, doing business as Long Island Rehab Helpline & Crisis Intervention, based in Jericho, New York. Editorial work and the helpline are staffed by certified addiction intervention and recovery professionals, not by a treatment facility.
Health and medication content is written or contributed to by Benjamin Zohar, NCACIP, medically reviewed by Brandon McNally, RN, and editorially reviewed by our education team. You can review our editorial guidelines, review process, and the sources we reference.
What we do
Publish educational resources
We write plain-language guides about substances, withdrawal, levels of care, medications for addiction treatment, and insurance in New York. Health content cites government and peer-reviewed sources.
Help people understand options
Our phone line is free. A treatment navigator can explain what detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient care involve, and what questions to ask a program before admission.
Point toward local resources
We maintain a directory of independent, licensed treatment organizations on Long Island and throughout New York, along with county-level public health and recovery resources.
What we are not
- We are not a detox, rehab, hospital, medical clinic, or licensed treatment provider.
- We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or provide medical or psychiatric care.
- We do not make clinical decisions about what care is appropriate for any individual.
- We cannot guarantee admission to any program, insurance coverage, or a treatment outcome.
How treatment navigation works
- You tell us what you are looking for, by phone or through a form.
- We explain the treatment levels and insurance questions that apply to your situation.
- We identify relevant independent providers and public resources.
- You decide who to contact. Admissions and clinical decisions are made by that provider.
How our service is funded
Our guides and directory listings are free to read, and we do not charge users for help. The site is supported by advertising and by marketing or referral relationships with some treatment providers. Where such a relationship exists, compensation may apply to advertising or call routing.
Compensation is never tied to whether someone enters treatment or to any clinical outcome, and it does not determine whether a program is medically appropriate for an individual. Editorial content is written independently of these relationships. Facility listings drawn from public sources are not paid placements. Full terms are described in our Terms of Service.
Editorial content vs. provider listings
Educational articles explain conditions, medications, and coverage, and they cite sources such as SAMHSA, NIDA, CDC, FDA, CMS, and NY OASAS. Provider pages describe separate, independent organizations. Program availability, insurance participation, and admissions criteria should always be verified directly with the provider.
How to reach us
You can call (844) 338-6969 or send a message through our contact page. Contacting us does not create a provider-patient or clinical relationship. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health or suicide crisis support, call or text 988.
